Film
This is a mixture of the films I have made during my first and second year of college! There is a variety of films on this page- as the films I have created were based on prompts given by the professors. Some of these films have a narrative to them, one is an interview, and others are exercises to practice certain shooting techniques.
Cycles Unbroken: The Black Hole of Love
This is a film that I created for my Intermediate Film Production course. This is also the film that I screened at my sophomore showcase! The prompt was to create anything we wanted so I went the narrative route. This film is about a relationship that seems picture perfect on the outside, but as the film progresses the darker side of the relationship is revealed.
ROLE: Director/Writer/Editor
Drawn to Darkness
This is a film that I created for my Horror Production course. The prompt was simply to create a horror short film. This film is about a college art student who is stuck in a creative block. She can't figure out what to draw for her next project, when suddenly she thinks of an idea. As she starts drawing, she comes to the realization that the drawing looks like her. When blood starts to seep out of the drawing all of a sudden, the lines between fiction and reality start to blur.
ROLE: Director/Writer/Editor/Cinematographer
The Bond of a Lifetime
This is a film that I created for my Intermediate Film Production course. The prompt was to create a portrait of anyone. I decided to make this project about my younger sister and our sisterhood. I always admired how my parents took many videos of my sister and I in our childhood, and looking through old and more recent videos, I realized that our younger selves and present selves have a lot in common. I used this to my advantage throughout this film.
ROLE: Director/Writer/Editor
Avant
This is a film that I created for my Intermediate Film Production course. The prompt was to shoot a long take. I always admired the aesthetic of ballet, as well as the calm before the storm when entering a dance audition. The colors, visuals, and sounds of putting on pointe shoes was one I always found pleasing and wanted to share that with the viewers.
ROLE: Director/Writer/Editor/Cinematographer
CODA Dance Season Reel
This is a Instagram Reel that I edited for my dance studio. The owner, my prior dance teacher, reached out asking if I was interested and of course I was so excited to edit this! I compiled competition videos from the 2022-2023 season and put together a montage along with a trending song.
ROLE: Editor
February's Over
This is a film that I created for my Introduction to Film Production 2 course. This is also the film that I screened at my freshman showcase! The prompt was to create a film with little to no dialogue, and to make it about the human gaze. The film is about a complicated relationship between three friends - Hannah, Amy, and Jacob. Hannah and Amy both like Jacob, but Jacob only likes Amy back. Hannah - our main characer - scopes out her interest in Jacob through her gaze, but eventually gets caught by Amy, placing herself in an awkward situation.

Angela Koh Fashion and Modeling Interview
This is a film that I shot for my Cinematography course. The prompt was to direct, shoot, and edit together a interview. I had the pleasure of interviewing my friend Angela Koh. While I initially got to know Angela through dance classes at Rutgers, I interviewed her about her sense of fashion and modeling - another big part of her life! We had such a fun time shooting this interview together.
ROLE: Director/Interviewer/Editor/Cinematographer
The Rule of Three (Act One)
This is a film that I created for my Screenwriting course. This story is about Amelia - our main character - who finds out heartbreaking news through an agenda accidently left behind by her boyfriend, Miles.
ROLE: Director/Writer/Editor/Cinematographer
A Portrait of the Church
This is a film that I shot for my Introduction to Film Production 1 course. The assignment was to create a portrait of any place we wanted. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and scope out a place that I had never been to before. I found this church that was right on campus and was able to contact the director of the church and come in at a time when the church was empty! Inside and out, this church was beautiful to capture.
ROLE: Director/Editor/Cinematographer
Happy Halloween
This is a film that I created for my Introduction to Film Production 1 course. The goal of the assignment was to create a narrative film in which the events were all revealed within a single take. Although a challenge, my friends and I had a lot of fun while collaborating to block and shoot the scene. This film is about Lucia - our main character -inviting her friend Mikita over on Halloween to hang out. They discuss the recent murder that happened on campus and then it is revealed that... (watch to find out!)

Pitter Patter
This is a film that I created for my Introduction to Film Production 1 course. The assignment was to create a one-minute sequence with no dialogue or music. I decided to capture the campus in which I live on - College Avenue. While this campus is known to constantly be busy and loud, I wanted to capture some of the hidden and quieter spots of the area.
ROLE: Director/Editor/Cinematographer
Lebowski
This is a film that I shot for my Cinematography course. The prompt was to shoot the same scene twice - the first time while using the widest lens possible (18mm or 24mm) and the second time with the telephoto end of the lens. The goal was to edit the contents of the two cameras together to compare the two lenses.
ROLE: Producer
Ko Sisters Youtube Channel
My younger sister and I always loved to vlog videos while going on fun trips, long car rides, or errands, and so one day we decided to start a Youtube channel to share our little adventures! Our videos encapsulate our fun trips and adventures that the two of us go on together, and our sisterhood and personalties definitely shine through in these videos!
